Earlier this year, I participated in a workshop led by Alvita for parents of special needs children. I’ve joined various support groups over the years, but this workshop was SO much different….and I attribute the difference to Alvita!
Alvita’s experience as both an educator and mother of a special needs child provided me with so much support and validation. Her exercises during the workshop allowed me to express my feelings about the struggles I face as a special needs mom, without fear of being criticized or judged. My favorite part of the workshop was the affirmation cards that she gave us that we would read aloud to the group, as it always left me feeling encouraged.
Alvita’s warmth, passion, and willingness to help in any way that she can makes her not only a great facilitator, but also just a fantastic overall human being!

From the moment that you walk in you are greeted with a warm and inviting smile and atmosphere. I enjoyed each exercise and truly felt like it was a great community. Alvita was personable but professional. I appreciated that each step was intentional and thoroughly thought through. My only suggestion is to increase the session to be able to process each step (bc they all required time and thoughtfulness). It was too good to be rushed. Overall it was a beautiful experience and can’t wait to refer others.

The parent workshop was impressive! The organization, dedication, and care that goes into facilitating this group can be seen. I enjoyed sharing thoughts that I would normally not discuss with peers and I also enjoyed hearing the other mom’s experiences.
