our services

Families can receive a range of consultation services from Special Needs Journey Consulting. Services include but are not limited to, reviewing Individualized Education Plans, and developing easily accessible in-home supports to help behavior, academics, and social-emotional development. These can vary depending on the needs of each particular family.

Consultation

We offer consultation services for families with special needs children. Our team of experienced professionals can help you navigate the complex world of special needs and find the resources you need to support your child.

Parent Workshop

This isn’t your typical venting session. Join us for an engaging, activity-based support session where we will discover what we need to “fill our cups” and shift how we approach challenges. You will leave feeling different than when you arrived—recharged, motivated, and with a fresh perspective. Our goal is to replenish your energy, inspire your efforts, and reset your mindset.

IEP Guided Session

Individualized Educational Plans (IEP’s) should mirror your child’s unique abilities and grant them access to an array of support, adjustments, and objectives that equip every student for achievement, challenge them with realistic, attainable expectations, and offer them the most easily accessible curriculum. During this session, we will review and interpret the Individualized Educational Plan.

Individual Parent Support/Training

Our goal is to empower parents with instruction, knowledge, and tools that enable them to make well-informed choices when selecting educational and early learning alternatives that align with their children’s needs.  During this session, we will review your current pain point and collaborate with one another to create a plan for the child/family to deploy.

Early intervention Process Guided Session

Early intervention equips parents with the tools, assistance, and knowledge to improve their child’s communication abilities. Collaborating with a professional specializing in early childhood education helps parents feel assured that they are actively promoting their child’s communication growth.   During this session, we will collaborate with one another to initiate your first steps in the Early Intervention Process.

IFSP Guided Session

A fundamental principle of the IFSP emphasizes the family as the most valuable asset for a child and recognizes the strong connection between a young child’s needs and their family’s needs. The most effective approach to aiding children and addressing their requirements is to nurture and leverage the unique strengths within the family unit. Therefore, the IFSP is a comprehensive family-oriented plan, with parents playing a central role in its creation.  During this session, we will review and interpret the Individualized Family Service Plan. There will be a Q & A upon completion of reviewing the document.
